Westlake Camera

This system was custom designed and built for the Fellow Feathers Hang Gliding club by Tom Rust of Custom Power Solar originally in November 2011. The unit was repaired and upgraded in January 2013 after a severe storm of 60mph+ winds ripped the solar panels from the original unit and split open the case. the system was designed using solar modules from Photon Energy Systems, manufacturers of a unique, ultra thin silicon solar cell technology. Electronics provided by Custom Power Solar.

The camera is an Axis 207MW wifi unit, operating 2m on, 10m off during daylight only. The unit stays off at night, and is recharged daily with sunlight using a single 2.7W PES solar module. Battery is a 4400mah Lipo.
